Create Compelling Spectacles

Striking imagery and grand symbolic gestures create the aura of power – everyone responds to them. Stage spectacles for those around you, then full of arresting visuals and radiant symbols that heighten your presence. Dazzled by appearances, no one will notice what you are really doing.

I haven't ran down a law from the 48 Laws of Power, in a mighty long time. So I decided to give everyone there monthly dosage of the laws when I ran across this one. Could this be the law most folks in the media have been breaking? Celeb blogs are always entertaining, but as of late, we are seeing some of the most NON celebrities making complete spectacles of themselves, or other peoples privacy for..well..5.5 seconds of fame, and often times for fee.

This is 48 Laws of Power, SPECIAL EDITION..people who break the law.

Lets start with the incredibly obvious walking spectacles like, Kat Stacks, all of Tiger Wood's mistresses, all of Jesse James mistresses, all of Shaq's mistress, and the beat goes on. All of these ladies have created a platform out of some of the most unfavorable behavior ever. No judgment, because a lot of women are guilty of messing with married and/or "spoken for" men. But the difference is these women are creating a spectacle about sleeping with these celebs and pro athletes and being the victim of not knowing about their l-vers high profile relationships or how they didn't know they were being used for sex. Hmph! They know we all like dirt here and there, so they are telling the stories of their escapades, and losing respect, while we laugh at them and not with them. I'm sure they have confused this law with looking ridiculous. Let this be a lesson that kissing an telling is never cute and usually puts your pussy on the black market. Ironically, these women are being so honest about little secrets and emails and text messages with their married l-vers, but because of them coming out, they will never be trusted. When keeping it real goes all the way wrong. This is a clear and distinct way of how to break law 37. I'm sure these women regret airing their dirty laundry for all of us, because instead of this declaration of sexual independence giving them power, it has only sold their character and image short. For all we know these could be smart and good hearted women. Guess we will never know.

Ok, this is not limited to just women. More spectacles gone wrong: Dick Flicks. What is the deal with all these men (pro athletes mainly) taking all these nude pictures in front of dirty mirrors and sending them to women they barely know, and probably don't trust..just so she can turn around and email them to friends and celeb blogs to publicly embarrass them?? First of all, I am personally turned all the way off by any emails in my phone that are assisted with a picture of a penis. Not because I don't enjoy the occasional dick, but because I can not get the image of a grown ass man in front of the mirror, taking pictures of himself nude, out of my head. Second, third and forth, you deserve to get exposed if you're just going to email that pic to just anyone,without at at least manscaping. Come on, don't be a dumb dumb, be a smart smart. Men want to "feel a way" about these ladies who exposed their nude photos and sexual affairs, but they don't want to be mad at themselves for choosing these girls. On twitter, no less!

Oh, and let's not forget the most recent spectacle in the news, Reggie Bush's NON jump off.

What in the fuck is going on here? You held a press conference to say you are NOT the reason Reggie and Kim are broke up? Hello to the neglected, girl, go to bed. Your time is up.

So..there is is, grown ass spectacles who have abused, or in my opinion, have broken the 37th law of power in hopes of gaining some kind of striking imagery (dick flicks), or thinking that no one really knows what they're doing (swapping their private indiscretions for popularity on TMZ.com).

The correct and most reasonably insane way to follow through on the 37th law of power, would be someone like Erykah Badu. Her most recent video is of her walking through the streets taking off her clothes until she is completely nude. People can't stop talking about it, and because it was not expected, the imagery is burned in your mind forever. I don't know if I would have been able to pull that off, but Miss Badu accomplished the 37th law of making a correct spectacle, without close up pics of her genitalia or screwing someone elses husband.
