In case you don't follow me on Twitter and/or aren't a part of the never ending rumor mill..I was fired from Magic City a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to officially blast it, since people are still going there to see me, or assuming I am still part of the Magic City dysfunctional family (which I am not). The reason for me getting fired was..well..there was no reason. LOL. I was called by a manager a couple hours before I usually go to work and was told that "It wasn't going to work out, anymore" and when I asked the reason, they said "There isn't one, which is bullshit." This last year for me has been like one long ass emotional break up with this club. In this situation..the club would be the emotional bitch. And we broke up last February of '09. Every since then, she has been antagonizing me, talking shit about me, having an attitude and throwing bitch fits, not allowing us to be "just friends". Why the fuck we can't have are differences and co-exist? lol. Imagine living with an ex girlfriend, just because you're trying to ride out the lease, until you can leave. Welp, that is pretty much what it was. I couldn't stand the bitch, and she couldn't stand me. Even though I technically did nothing wrong, my apathetic attitude towards micro management, namely Loma, rubbed 'em the wrong way. Yep, I said it. In a published post, no less.

I know how men feel when they want to be "just friends", and the emotional bitch won't take the break up in stride. I would equate my break up to coming home to all my shit being on the street, and locks changed with no explanation. It was fucked up, and vengeful. But the club (specifically the person behind me getting fired), is going to have a very long year. I plan on telling anyone worth listening what happened. Oh, and rumor has it that I asked for my job back? Which couldn't be possible, since I have only spoken to the manager that called to relay the message of termination (notice I said RELAY). I have not spoken to any other manager about me being fired, or me coming back, so that kills that bogus theory. People will lie about anything that will make them feel as if they have worth. Its a strip club, not an institution, cut it out. Shout out to Mikey, for holding me down, as long as he could. End quote.
Moving along..More thoughts..
I'm pretty sure I have stopped dancing..at least I HOPE so. Keep me motivated, guys.
The book "With Brook Lynne In Mind" is still a project in the making. Thanks for all the pre orders! I appreciate the support. But I am taking my time with this one, I want it to be a good book. I will keep everyone posted as I finish it up!

I plan to continue with change. Also, I don't think popularity can be classified as a good or bad thing, it just is what it is. And with this gained popularity, I want to get a little less accessible, only because I get overwhelmed with so many emails and tweets, and I can't touch every single person, as I'd like too. So..miss me with the "she Hollywood" or "she has changed" because you're preaching to the choir. I'm not working my butt off to stay the same, I want to progress. Until then I'm going to try and email everyone back and help everyone as much as possible! The support is amazing. Just understand, I may miss a few people, unfortunately. My apologies.

OH! T-shirts coming soon..got some "Pretty Bitches Do Pretty Things" coming out, and also trying to get some "Girl, WHAT?!" shirts out there too! For those of ya'll unfamiliar with the #girlwhat movement, let me give you a brief synopsis! Basically, "Girl, WHAT?!" is the official response we give to ridiculous ass gossip, ridiculous ass people, ridiculous ass ANYTHING. Don't wait for ANYONE to finish their sentence, especially if they are talking some bullshit bologna to you. Just slam your hand on any reachable hard surface, and holler "GIRL, WHAT!!?" and walk it off. Arguments and stupid idiot banter is so last year! Word to Rochelle Gotti!

I love this blog!!, simply because it was random, just your thoughts, and it was just good stuff. That lady Loma is going to get her share of karma pretty soon. but welp not everyone like to see people succeed, or move on from the same place they had once met them, or just be seen doing BETTER than them.

I've been following you on Twitter for a while now and I'm here to tell you that a lot of the things you say are encouraging. Whether you reply or not to everyone, you definitely still touch people, your popularity proves that. You know I thank you for your inspiration. If it wasnt for you telling me that day that I should start blogging I wouldnt have started this great movement and touching the lives of many adoptees that feel they have no identity, not to mention have reunited two families in less than a year. I have been in a similar situation, "fired from the strip club" as if it was going to hurt us in some way. What club owners and mgmt dont understand is that we have a damn life, A REAL LIFE WITH GOALS, DREAMS, SUCCESS, AND LOVE. When we work "live" in that entertainment they believe we are all one in the same and that is all we have...NOT! I try not to ever sat I have stopped dancing because we never know what life may bring our way and we dont want to look like the hypocrite; however, let it be your motivation to push harder!!! I look at where I was a couple years ago dancing to who I am now and I am at a place I know for a fact I wouldnt be if I was still dancing like I was before. We all support your movement, and the more you continue to keep it real we will all be here backing you up! One thing I tell myself constantly when I am confronted from my ex-strip life is that "I am on my way..." on my way to the next level that is. We cannot look book as hard as it is because we have done it so long. I wish you the best in all that you do and I hope we will meet again someday. Blessing to you Brook you got this!

I'm all too familiar with that kind of relationship. The deal is sometimes we have to be forced out of a situation that no longer fits our life. Even though we know it's time to go we keep waiting for the time we think is right to leave and that ends up being longer than it should. To me it's God's way of making us step out on faith and head to the place we are meant to be. Eventually that "emotional bitch" becomes a distant memory. Shake the dust, girl, they did you a favor. Congrats on your success in the near future!

You are a beautiful woman with an an amazing mind. I don't know you but I like you a lot. Would love to talk to you for a few hours. I think there is a reason you got pushed out the club. There is something better out there for you that doesn't involve you having to take off your clothes every night. You are way beyond Magic City. I know this is a tad off topic, however. Do u think u could do a blog about your boobs. I personally thought they were real to begin with, so clearly your surgeon did a phenomenal job. If you wouldnt mind giving information on the doctor, pricing, your size, and any complications/regrets/discomfort or any other info you have regarding the augmentation. Im contemplating getting breast implants and could use all the info possible...btw. i love your blog, the term "real bitches do, real shit" def applies to you. keep it up :)
honestly i think you are on your way to much MORE greatness. the strip club gave you the harsh reality of the real world. gave you a look book of how to view others. the strip club gave you the start to writing your book..now that you are progressing in life..you no longer need them! you will succeed..and being as though i have been following behind you on this blog from the beginning..i feel like im watching a virtual friend take her step to success. i dont know many who stripped for 3 years (i think thats what you said) and got out with a book and a tshirt line and many encouraging ppl wishing you NOTHING but HAPPINESS! take a bow. you've already made it. thanks loma!

Hi Brook Lynne! Sorry I haven't been to your blog in a while, but reading this post caught my attention.
I must say, this was GOD, not the universe or anything else, telling you to leave "that" life alone, and get on something more productive. Sure enough it sucks that the club did you dirty and underhanded, but what goes around comes around.
I'm glad that you are pursuing writing your book, that's wonderful. I look forward to seeing it in a Barnes & Noble or Borders store and being able to pick it up and purchase it.
Just know this Brook: God has something far greater in store for you, and it's up to you to tap into your potential and your purpose here in this life that you have. You seem like a person whom has so much untapped potential to be a success, and it only takes a step out on faith to manifest in that purpose. You can do it!

Stopped by to see what was up in Brookyland since I am not twitter anymore (I deleted my account a few weeks ago it after a yr I had enough.) I wondered what happened at MC but I didn't want to ask. EFF Magic City! I am truly, sincerely and undoubtedly PISSED to hear that this has happened to you, Brooke. I suppose no matter how "FAB" they try to make MC look, the unprofessionalism will always make it "g-FAB". I mean, this isn't a Fortune 500 business---at the end of the day, it's still a STRIP CLUB! Forget the politics, forget the attitudes. As long as you and the establishment had the same GOAL in mind [that is, making $$$], who cares about anything else??? Funny thing is, they really can't afford to lose any PRETTY GIRLS! I've never been impressed with the quality of "faces" I see there---it's usually a handful, at best. But rest easy, my dear. These things have a way of working themselves out and I guarantee, it WILL come back to bite them in the ass, trust me.
