Mashonda x Swizzy x Alicia PLEASE.

i would like all of you to stop pretending that the l-vely miss alicia keys is not a home wrecker. (in my opinion, of course). it definitely takes more than "the other woman" to break up any relationship, BUT it is and always will be a heavy contributor to new and pre existing problems between a couples. we all kind of knew what was going on when mashonda was clearly still married to swizz beats and the whispers of alicia keys being the favorable mistress came along. i say favorable because obviously, her "piano/real hair/sultry voice/honorable career/humanitarian/who me? im so sweet, demeanor" has everyone fooled into this all being a misunderstanding or a "somebody must be lying" type of situation..instead of calling it what it is which is an extramarital affair. apparently, according to mashonda's tweets, its been going on for like 2 years..and now we are seeing all these candid shots of keys and swizzy, openly displaying their more than friends relationship.

so tell me this: when did this become ok? and why are people ignoring who the mistress is? be honest. if the other woman were, kim kardashian, or a amber rose type, the peanut gallery would be LIVID. i myself am a sucker for l-ve, but i couldnt imagine dating or having a serious/exclusive relationship with a man, if he was still married. especially if the marriage is public record, there was a newborn child (2 years ago) AND the wife had politely reached out to me and asked for me to fall back because they're STILL married. wow.

so, miss alicia keys, gets the double standard card of 2009 for having the most public marital affair with a well known celebrity producer, and nobody giving a fuck. oh, except for the wife. so while you guys are singing along to her new album, coming soon, about l-ve and relationships and rainbows and starry skies, remember, she was a contributor in taking that from someone. and im not taking blame away from swizz beats, because that isnt what this blog is about. this blog is about people turning a blind eye to an "image". clearly, alicia keys was not scandalous enough for anyone to hate, even though she is and has been dating a married man. maybe alicia should be asking where the divorce papers are..after 2 years? hmmm..

even though i do not agree with her, swizz and mashonda's relationship status, i will say this..i DO believe in l-ve, and i do believe that some sparks are a test..just a test. to see if you can still feel, to see if you can still get butterflies and goosebumps. sometimes a spark happens so that it can grab your attention. but those sparks can burn, and if your willing to withstand that sensation, as miss keys is doing, to live in that moment, then..play on playa. after all, where there is smoke..theres fire.

honor amongst thieves ?

In the locker room the other night, me and some other girls were discussing the super duper older than dirt question: “is all money good money?”

The answer is easy for me. Of course it isn’t. if you have to lie, cheat, steal or lose your identity for the almighty dollar, then that money your sacrificing your morals for is going to bring you a shit load of problems, (according to karmic energy). Someone then chimed into the discussion and said, ”Yes all money is good money, its what you do for it that is bad.” to me, this just sounds like someone rationalizing suspect behavior. But im sure people think stripping = bad money, so I guess it is all relative.

But when I think of bad money, I think of breaking a law(s) or hurting someone(s) INTENTIONALLY. It actually saddens me that people consider certain behavior commendable because the money is “helping” them. Like, the example of robin hood was used, “steal from the rich, and give to the poor”. well, when you put it that way, lol, of course people will say that’s bad money with a good purpose, right? But who says the rich deserve to be robbed? Having money doesn’t make you wrong, so why would you take from people who may have earned their money rightfully, just to give to people who have not, or can not? I don’t know. I guess we are all guilty of turning a blind eye to money, especially in this economy, which almost requires TRAUMA counseling.

Examples of “bad” money? Me dancing for the assumed dope boys in the club, and gladly accepting their BAD money, not giving a shit who’s drug habit they are enabling, as long as im getting my money for services rendered..sounds awful right?

while on a trip to another city, your spouse (or l-ver) meets and spends a night with an exciting stranger. given that they will never meet again, and that you will not otherwise learn of the incident, would you want your partner to tell you about it? if the roles were reversed, would you reveal what you had done?

i agree with @lolamaia. its a tough question which always comes back to honesty, communication and "keeping it real"..whatever that means anymore. but at the end of the day, do you REALLY want to know something that may not even destroy you or your relationship? do you really want to know something that will not break you up for good? because we all know, that after the many times our partner fouls up, we usually-not ALWAYS, but usually give another chance or two, siting temptation or being human as the reason for the mistake. on the other hand, we do have the right to have all the cards on the table, so we can know what game we are playing, right? knowing the truth enables us to make honest decisions, not blind ones. so on that note, i still dont have a definitive answer for this question. stay tuned.

good grief, if ONE more person tries to confirm the method of my madness with my astrological sign, ill scream!

explains what? what some bored sorcerer or 800 number psychic somewhere made up, many moons ago to keep people entertained? in my opinion, horoscopes, signs, etc..all that has been taken way too far. i honestly think people use it as a crutch to explain their behavior.

actually, i dont. because i dont keep up with that shit. not to the extent that you can tell me your birthday, and your sign, along with your numerology pops up quickly in my mind, and all of sudden im telling you that your "emotional" or a "power sign" or whatever it is that the STARS diagnose us as. oh, and..for all the RELIGIOUS, GOD fearing folks-isnt astrology/psychics right along the lines of fortune telling and magic ? things that i thought the church frowned on. but it sure doesnt stop you from checking next weeks horoscope in the back of US weekly magazine!! lol.

i am guilty of checking my horoscope to be entertained, and also knowing some traits that go along with people born late february and early march. which normally you would think is just a coincidence, but cosmic energy suggest because we were born during a certain time of the year, we think, act and feel the same? pause. its ENTERTAINMENT. i just ask that you dont judge me by my BIRTH DATE. im truly an individual and will do many things that will contradict my sign, which is PISCES, and there will be things that i will do that will be exactly what pisces are said to do. i refuse to beLIEve that there was some divine energy that pushed my mother into labor during the pisces era, just because GOD knew i would be emotional. and who appoints these mystical writers-who seem to suggest such GENERAL information like.."your job is stressing you out." or "your going to have to make a tough choice this week.." or even "if your single, you will be looking for l-ve, if your a couple, you will be experiencing new things!" LOL sounds like a normal tuesday for me, unspecified by what my astrological sign is..somehow, it seems like these quick 140 character fortune tellers are giving out general info that could be more right then wrong, since they are very vague and non specific.

in the end, i guess we need the "stars". people need a reason for irrational behavior or typical traits amongst people with similar birthdays. people always want to make sense of things, label them and keep them in some kind of chronological order so they can understand and believe and then reference back to. to me, its just easier to believe that people are just individually nutty. on that note, here are some things they say about pisces, or me..or people like me or people born in my pisces bracket. lol..whatever.
