really?

I saw this the other day...

If my daughter wants to be a stripper/dancer at 18, hey, do you. Although, I would encourage her to do her research on the pros/cons of such a profession and not to come crying to me when people treat her negatively. Not saying I WANT her to choose that for herself but once your kids are grown, they have their own lives to lead.

But for me to intentionally put the idea in her head as a little kid? I need to be shot as a parent...ALL parents should want better for their children and this doll...it just doesn't speak volumes on your child's aspirations.

Brook, with you being a stripper, would you buy this for your daughter (if you have/had one)?

seriously?

Not as concerned that they made it.....but more concerned about who is buying their baby this doll...come on people give the babies a chance.

ha hahaa i am dying over here. i will get you one for your birthday. lmao.

WE'RE GLOBAL BABY!!! LOL

LMAO, but this is a joke. Until I see a picture/youtube video of an actual toy, I will continue to think this is a joke to upset people.

If it is real, this toy will be carried in some cheap Dollar Store type places. ToysRUS, WalMart, Target, etc. wouldn't want the negative press that would come from carrying such a product.

nope. absolutely not. strip is something that is "age appropriate". until a child is old enought to make life choices for themselves, we shouldnt put curve balls in their line of sight. being a confused child is hard enough, SHEEESH! this doll makes me sick.

assertive wit,

oh also, about your daughter wanting to choose strip..i understand that you are leaving the decision up to HER because she is grown..but i do wish i could know her. only because i think only someone in this industry could convey the true colors of this world the best. i never call it the wrong choice, just the harder one. more cons than pros, although money being the HUGEST pro, it tends to out weigh the cons, which is another issue all in itself.

btw, your daughter will appreciate you for letting her make decisions, whether they be mistakes or beneficial. trust me.

i guess it depends on how you feel about strippers. up until now i never had to question how i felt about them. at one point i found myself auditioning to become one. but when you bring my child into it..its like.."my daughter better not grow up and want to be a stripper" but then have no problems with it other than the fact that i wouldn't want MY OWN DAUGHTER pole dancing for money. There is no easy answer to that question.
well..thank God i'm having a boy first... =)

This is not suitable for children. What creep made this ish?

Assertive Wit September 6, 2009 7:45 AM

Brook good/appropriate answer...right now my daughter is a baby but I want her to learn early on that in life, she is free to make ANY decision she wants BUT she has to live with the consequences and not complain about it to others if it's a something she CHOSE.

I got a long way to go before she starts thinking about a "job" though LOL

brook would buy this for her kid.

On the alternative, pole dancing isn't just about "stripping" in some circles. It's actually seen as a competetive form of gymnastics to some (and those women are ripped!).

But for popular opinion's sake, yes, this doll is f_cked up.
