will you marry ME, tho ?

7.30.2009

Method Man: If you met your woman in the club, giving a lap dance. That’s how you know. You don’t want to marry the b*tch!

method man says this during a radio interview with WKYS, when speaking about nas and kelis and guidelines on marrying or in this case NOT marrying "bitches" :o)
of course when the you tube dropped, i got a couple people asking my opinion on the comment he made (above) about strippers.

well, there are a LOT of women who are not marriage material, and that does not start or end at the strip club. although i can see why a man may think that a stripper may give the same attention/behavior to every man she encounters, only because it is kind of a dancer's job to get money from the customer, right? unfortunately there are an abundance of women who are looking for a come up with"community property" during a marriage. and last time i checked, most of these women that are in the media getting these ridiculous settlement amounts from their divorce-were/are not strippers.

insecurity is a mothafucker, aint it?

Do you want to get married someday? And what are your thoughts on just being with someone, but not actually marrying them?

He meant that a woman who will get butt ass naked in a room full of men everynight, throwing her crotch in every man holding up a dollars face as she goes from table to table might not be the black queen you want to bring back to your castle. Thats his opinion on who is marriage material to him or not. I dont see it as him being insecure

I addressed the NAS/KELIS comeup on my blog /end shameless plug.

However, I agree with you wholeheartedly that women are looking for "community property" rather than being with someone for LOVE. It's sad because young girls are seeing this, and starting to put a price on everything. What happened to "endless love. can't live without you love?" DEAD & GONE.

People quick to blame the stripper and/or porn star because their job is of a sexy & visual manner. Not fair. Double standards suck. Because no one talks about the men that drag their future ex-wives through a nasty divorce all out of spite. Blah.

I don't think it's about the money at all. Like you said, there are a lot of non-strippers whose purpose in life is to rape dudes' pockets. Shit, Heather Mills ain't got but one good leg: raped Paul McCartney's pockets. Sheree from RHOA looks like Stringer Bell from the Wire without the goatee: Trying to rape her ex-husband's pockets. I've dated a couple girls that danced and didn't come out of pocket any more than for any other women, nor did I feel like they were trying to "get at my money" (what little I have). If anything, they seemed to want to me buy me random gifts, but that could just be them being giving people as opposed to a dancer thing.

For me, as a man, I could never have my wife actively be in a situation where some other man is going to be slapping her naked ass or trying to stick a beer bottle in her (I've seen both in strip clubs). I can't possibly imagine seeing somebody disrespect my wife like that and not trying to separate his teeth from his jaw. That's just my opinion though.

I've got nothing against strippers. I've known a couple (male & female) but I just don't think it's a good look for your significant other to get physical on that kinda level with anyone other than their spouse whether it's Job related or not. But that's just me but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
